Músicas que fizeram parte do nosso repertório

Uma das músicas que me marcaram profundamente: My Sweet Lord

My Sweet Lord, Concert For George (High Quality)

Na guitarra acústica Eric Clapton
Na guitarra elétrica o filho de George Harrison
No piano Paul McCartney
Na primeira bateria Ringo Star
Na segunda bateria Phill Collins
Na segunda guitarra elétrica Tom Petty
No órgão e interpretando a primeira voz o incrível Billy Preston

Lyrics

We shall dance, we shall dance,
The day we get a chance,
To pay off all the violins of the ball.

We shall dance, we shall dance,
The day we get a chance,
To get a dime to buy back our souls.

We shall dance, we shall sing My dear love, O my spring,
My love good days will come,
You’ll see the corn will grow in spring,
My spring time,
My spring time.

We shall dance, we shall dance,
The day we get a chance,
To pay off all the violins of the ball,
We shall dance, we shall stay,
With the children at play,
Lord I swear when the time comes, we’ll pray.

We shall dance, we shall sing,
My dear love, O my spring,
My love you’ll have a house,
With roof and walls,
Fire with coal,
My soul, my soul.

We shall dance, we shall dance,
The day we get a chance,
To pay off all the violins of the ball.

We shall dance, we shall stay,
With the children at play,
Lord I swear when the time comes, we’ll pray.

Demis Roussos – Good bye My Love (2008)

Hear the wind sing a sad, old song
it knows i’m leaving you today
please don’t cry or my heart will break
when I go on my way.

Goodbye my love goodbye
goodbye and au revoir
as long as you remember me
I’ll never be too far.

Goodbye my love goodbye
I always will be true
so hold me in your dreams
till I come back to you.

See the stars in the skies above
they’ll shine wherever I may roam
I will pray every lonely night
That soon they’ll guide me home.

Goodbye my love goodbye
goodbye and au revoir
as long as you remember me
I’ll never be too far.

Goodbye my love goodbye
I always will be true
so hold me in your dreams
till I come back to you.

Demis Roussos, Diana Gurtskaya “From Souvenirs to Souvenirs”

A lonely room and empty chair Another day so hard to bear
The things around me that I see remind me of
The past and how it all used to be

From souvenirs to more souvenirs I live
With days gone by when our hearts had all to give
From souvenirs to more souvenirs I live
With dreams you left behind
I’ll keep on turning in my mind

There’ll never be another you
No one will share the worlds we knew
And now that loneliness has come to take your place
I close my eyes and see your face

From souvenirs to more souvenirs I live
With days gone by when our hearts had all to give
From souvenirs to more souvenirs I live
With dreams you left behind
I’ll keep on turning in my mind

Phil Collins – Another Day In Paradise

She calls out to the man on the street
“Sir, can you help me?
It’s cold and I’ve nowhere to sleep
Is there somewhere you can tell me?”

He walks on, doesn’t look back
He pretends he can’t hear her
He starts to whistle as he crosses the street
She’s embarrassed to be there

Oh, think twice, it’s just another day for
For you and me in paradise
Oh, think twice, it’s just another day
For you, you and me in paradise
Just think about it

She calls out to the man on the street
He can see she’s been cryin’
She’s got blisters on the soles of her feet
She can’t walk but she’s tryin’

Oh, think twice, it’s just another day
For you and me in paradise
Oh, think twice, it’s just another day
For you, you and me in paradise
Just think about it, just think about it

Oh Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do?

Oh Lord, there must be something you can say

You can tell from the lines on her face
You can see that she’s been there
Probably been moved on from every place
‘Cause she didn’t fit in there

Oh, think twice, it’s just another day
For you and me in paradise
Oh, think twice, it’s just another day
For you, you and me in paradise
Just think about it, just think about it

It’s just another day
For you and me in paradise
It’s just another day
For you and me in paradise

It’s just another day
For you and me in paradise
It’s just another day
For you and me in paradise

It’s just another day
For you and me
It’s another day
For you and me

It’s another day
For you and me in paradise
In paradise

Phil Collins – Do you remember

We never talked about it
But I hear the blame was mine
I’d call you up to say I’m sorry
But I wouldn’t want to waste your time

Cause I love you, but I can’t take any more
There’s a look I can’t describe in your eyes
If we could try, like we tried before
Would you keep on telling me those lies
Do you remember?

There seemed no way to make up
Cause it seemed your mind was set
And the way you looked it told me
It’s a look I know I’ll never forget

You could’ve come over to my side
You could’ve let me know
You could’ve tried to see the difference between us
But it seemed too far for you to go.
Do you remember?

Through all of my life
In spite of all the pain
You know people are funny sometimes
Cause they just can’t wait
To get hurt again
Tell me, do you remember?

There are things we won’t recall
Feelings we’ll never find
It’s taken so long to see it
Cause we never seemed to have the time

There was always something more important to do
More important to say
But “I love you” wasn’t one of those things
And now it’s too late
Do you remember?

Lyrics

You get a shiver in the dark
It’s raining in the park but meantime
South of the river you stop and you hold everything
A band is blowing Dixie double four time
You feel alright when you hear that music ring

You step inside but you don’t see too many faces
Coming in out of the rain to hear the jazz go down
Too much competition too many other places
But not too many horns can make that sound
Way on downsouth way on downsouth London town

You check out Guitar George he knows all the chords
Mind he’s strictly rhythm he doesn’t want to make it cry or sing
And an old guitar is all he can afford
When he gets up under the lights to play his thing

And Harry doesn’t mind if he doesn’t make the scene
He’s got a daytime job he’s doing alright
He can play honky tonk just like anything
Saving it up for Friday night
With the Sultans with the Sultans of Swing

And a crowd of young boys they’re fooling around in the corner
Drunk and dressed in their best brown baggies and their platform soles
The don’t give a damn about any trumpet playing band
It ain’t what they call rock and roll
And the Sultans played Creole

And then the man he steps right up to the microphone
And says at last just as the time bell rings
‘Thank you goodnight now it’s time to go home’
and he makes it fast whith one more thing
‘We are the Sultans of Swing’
